Basketball standout chooses to stay in Canada

Justine Colley has decided to eschew the lure of NCAA Division I women’s basketball to stay in Canada.

The Halifax Grammar Gryphons’ high school standout said this week she is trying to sift through offers from numerous Canadian universities, including Dalhousie and Saint Mary’s.

“I’m still trying to figure out my decision,” she said. “I haven’t weighed all the options yet. It’s a tough decision.”

Colley, a five-foot-nine, Grade 12 guard, is a member of the Canadian under-19 team that will compete at this summer’s FIBA world women’s championship in Bangkok.
