Habitat for Humanity receives $15,000

BILD’s 15th annual charity BBQ features a pirate theme.

All things pirate were out on July 5 for BILD’s (formerly GTHBA-UDI) 15th annual charity BBQ in support of Habitat for Humanity, presented by Rogers.

Guests enjoyed pillaging on food, donating for prizes and even participating in the pirate games with “Captain Jack” as their guide.

As the clouds began to clear, the crowds arrived ready to put their best hook forward for Habitat. More than 200 guests enjoyed a live and silent auction, balloon bursts and pirate challenges, played out by teams representing home builders, barbeque committee members, renovators, associate members and BILD staff.

Habitat for Humanity Toronto is a cause dedicated to ensuring everyone has a safe and decent place to live. As BILD’s charity of choice, it is a natural selection and the association’s members get behind the cause 100 per cent. Between event sponsorship, auction revenues and sales, BILD is proud to report this year’s barbeque raised $15,000 for Habitat for Humanity!

Thank you to all the donors and sponsors for their efforts in making this barbeque a success, as well as to all those who came out and braved the rain for a wonderful cause.

Together, you have demonstrated the strength and generosity of BILD members knows no bounds.
