The British soldier beheaded in a London street by Islamic terrorists yesterday has been named.
He is Drummer Michael Rigby, 25, from the northern English city of Manchester. He was a member of the 2nd Battalion, the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, and joined the British Army in 2006. He had served on two tours of Afghanistan.
The victim was named after it was revealed that his two attackers, both British born men of Nigerian origin, were previously known to British intelligence.
