Tech help Bell Canada will no longer be transferring one million calls for technical assistance to India because it isn’t satisfied with all of the results, the company’s chief executive told the BCE Inc. shareholders meeting yesterday.
CEO George Cope said improved customer service is one of five key strategic moves planned by Bell to be more competitive. He said BCE’s other goals include maintaining a competitive cost structure, accelerating growth of its wireless business and investing in technology.
The meeting lacked the angst of the last shareholder meeting where investors launched sharp attacks at Cope’s predecessor Michael Sabia.
