Dartmouth’s Ben Russell has been added to the Canadian team for the world canoe and kayak championships.

CanoeKayak Canada made the announcement Thursday that Russell would be added to the 31-member team competing at works in Poznan, Poland from Aug. 18 to 22.

This is the second year in a row Russell has made it to worlds.

Last year he held the C-4, 1000 team to a fifth place finish.

“I’ve really brought my game up this season and I’m sure I can help our team do very well at the world championships,” Russell said in a release.

Russell’s older brother Andrew is among the 30 athletes named to the team on July 19.
