Best solution is to ban pollution

Re: “Out of sight — not out of mind,” Sept. 4:

It’s great to see Metro covering the problem of water pollution but the solutions put forward don’t go far enough.

It’s not sufficient to take harmful chemicals to hazardous waste centres; we need to work toward elimination of these chemicals.

In the current market — with so many non-toxic alternatives — there’s simply no excuse for using poisons.
