Jeff Bezos has deployed his private security agent to investigate who leaked the Amazon CEO's sexy texts to his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez, which ended up in the National Enquirer. One of the suspects: Sanchez's brother, a gay West Hollywood Trump supporter who is connected to Roger Stone.

That's according to new reporting by the Daily Beast, which apparently did not use Political Mad Libs to compose the story.

Bezos and his wife, MacKenzie, are divorcing by mutual agreement. Shortly after the couple made the announcement on social media, it was reported that Bezos was dating Sanchez, a helicopter pilot and former news anchor. On Jan. 10, the National Enquirer ran a 12-page story about Bezos's new relationship, which included the texts.

Bezos, who also owns the Washington Post, is a longtime critic of Donald Trump. National Enquirer CEO David Pecker is a longtime friend of Trump.

The Daily Beast reported that Gavin De Becker, Bezos's personal "security guru" has been interviewing people about the hacked texts, and one of them is Lauren Sanchez's brother, Michael Sanchez, "a personal and business associate of Trumpworld figures including Roger Stone, Carter Page, and Scottie Nell Hughes."

In an April 2016 letter to the editor of the LA Times, Sanchez described himself as "a gay man, a Hispanic, a West Hollywood homeowner and strong supporter of Trump.”
Reached by the Daily Beast, Roger Stone confirmed that he knew Sanchez, called him "a good guy" and denied he had hacked Bezos's phone (although the Daily Beast hadn't asked him if he did).

The site's reporters said they had seen documents showing that Stone and Sanchez were in touch about the National Enquirer story days before Stone was indicted on seven criminal counts related to the Russia investigation last month.

Former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page also confirmed that he and Sanchez had a personal and professional relationship.

The National Enquirer ran numerous flattering stories about Trump. Pecker is now cooperating with federal investigators' probe of whether Trump and his attorney Michael Cohen violated campaign finance law by arranging for the Enquirer to "catch and kill" stories from Trump's mistresses.

So far, Michael Sanchez has declined to comment.
