If you’re interested in putting this week’s winter chill behind you, there is no better place than the 7th annual Calgary Boating Expo.
Boats, boats and more boats will greet the expected 10,000 patrons this weekend at the Telus Convention Centre at the event, which the organizer calls “a really good time.”
Show manager Kevin Blackburn told Metro that Calgarians will enjoy the show this weekend because it offers a variety of boat dealers from B.C. and Alberta, including several from Calgary.
“It’s a really fun environment for serious boat buyers and their families to come check out. If anyone wants to buy their first, second or third boat or upgrade, this is the place to be,” Blackburn said.
“You might have the mittens and the gloves and toques on but when you come in here it’s like summer, water sports and boats.”
Shiny boats of many different sizes will offer selection and there will also be wakeboarding accessories and clothing. Door prizes will also be available.
The show runs today from 1 to 8 p.m., tomorrow from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information, please visit www.theboatingexpo.com.
