Body found in Calgary manhole

The Calgary Police Homicide Unit was called after a body was found inside a manhole at 9 St and McDougall Road NE just before noon today.
An ENMAX employee called 911 after being notified by a citizen in the area that a manhole cover had been displaced – and upon inspection found the body laying face down in six inches of water, according to fire department sources.
Power has been shut off to the area, firefighters have brought in their confined space team to retrieve the body and police are investigating the cause of death.
