Police are investigating a mysterious death after body was found in a northwest parking lot yesterday.
Insp. Keith Cain said police were called just before 9 a.m. to the 1500 block of 16 Avenue NE, where a dead man was found just outside of the Source Adult Video.
“Anytime you find a dead body in a parking lot, it’s suspicious,” Cain said, adding police continue to look into the circumstances.
What appeared to be blood could be seen on the side window of a vehicle parked in the strip mall.
Gerald, who refused to use his last name, lives near where the body was found and said police asked him to identify it.
“But they said it would be difficult because there was a lot of blood. Apparently it was gruesome,” he said. “But I didn’t hear anything this morning.”
Gerald said the area is usually quiet, but recently some “bad apples” moved down the street.
“They always have people coming and going, like drug deals,” he alleged.
