Body of third missing swimmer recovered in Ontario diving tragedy

MOON RIVER, Ont. – Provincial police divers have recovered the body of a third swimmer missing at a popular cliff-jumping area in Ontario’s Muskoka region.

Police say the man recovered this morning is 31-year-old Vladimir Tsimfer of Mississauga, Ont. The bodies of Peter Ludian, 21, who was visiting from Poland, and Vladimir Sirghi, 22, of Barrie, Ont., were found earlier.

All three drowning victims have been taken to a hospital in Bracebridge, Ont., where post-mortem examinations will be conducted.

Seven people believed to be in their 20s got into the fast-moving water at the lower portion of the waterfalls on Sunday, but only four came out.
