Bogut leaves game with ankle injury

HOUSTON – Milwaukee Bucks centre Andrew Bogut left in the first quarter of Wednesday night’s game in Houston because of a sprained left ankle.

The seven-foot Bogut left with 2:31 remaining in the quarter after trying to stop Kyle Lowry on a drive. The team said he would not return.

Ersan Ilyasova came in, while Bogut limped to the locker room with the help of a trainer. Minutes later, Bogut was wheeled down the tunnel of the Toyota Center on a cart.

Bogut, the top overall pick in the 2005 draft, was making his 12th start this season. He missed Milwaukee’s Jan. 13 game against Dallas with concussion-like symptoms, and that followed a four-game absence to attend to a personal matter back home in Australia.
