Explosive disposal training will be the order of the day at several public locations throughout Ottawa Thursday and Friday.
Ottawa Police will be conducting the training scenarios at several unnamed locations. There will not be any live explosives used in the exercises, and the public will not be informed of their locations ahead of time.

Signs will be posted before and during the event to inform residents to stay clear to protect the integrity of the scenario.
The exercises are part of a six-day international training course that begins this week, and is part of a joint collaboration between Ottawa Police, OPP, Canadian Police College, Canadian Police Research Council, and the Department of National Defence.
