City cops have found a boot missing from the city’s latest murder victim but still need help in finding her purse.

Police put out a call to the public for help in finding the purse and the boot and were able to locate the missing footwear yesterday.

Investigators confirmed the ankle boot had been found in the area where the body was found on Friday morning, around the 2800 block of Memorial Drive.

While Staff Sgt. Kevin Forsen of the homicide unit said the medical examiner hasn’t been able to confirm the identity through conventional methods, it is believed the victim is 40-year-old Arcelie Laoagan, a mother of five from the Philippines who was working in Calgary and sending money back to her family.

Laoagan went missing Thursday night after leaving work around 10 p.m. Friends reported she was on the phone with them when she was attacked before the line went dead. Her family is holding a memorial at the Calgary Full Gospel Church tonight at 7 p.m.

Police are once again asking for assistance in finding her missing brown purse with a strap and sequins.

They think it might be in the area where she was found near Franklin Train Station. If anyone has information they are asked to call 266-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
