Brown leads Rockets over Blazers in SO

KELOWNA, B.C. – Adam Brown stopped 23 shots in regulation and overtime and was perfect in the shootout as the Kelowna Rockets beat the Kamloops Blazers 3-2 in Western Hockey League action Wednesday.

Zach Franko and Myles Bell scored in the shootout for Kelowna, while Brown turned away Austin Madaisky and Brendan Ranford.

Shane McColgan and Brett Bulmer scored in regulation for Kelowna (21-23-5).

Ranford and Austin Madaisky replied for the Blazers (34-10-4), who remained in first place in the Western Conference thanks to the point gained in the shootout loss.

Cole Cheveldave made 34 saves for the Blazers.
