While I agree that there are some benefits in the government’s latest budget for a variety of Canadians, mostly middle class suburbanites, I have to agree with Elizabeth May, Jack Layton and Stéphane Dion that the budget measures are little more than public relations when it comes to dealing with our international obligations on climate change — namely the Kyoto Protocol.


Incentives for fuel efficient cars, new taxes on gas guzzlers and the biofuel incentive are small steps that may impact some suburbanites but there will only be a small benefit due to the few types of vehicles affected. in your budget.
