Bullets exchanged between vehicles in latest shooting

RCMP in Langley are trying to piece together details of Vancouver’s latest targeted shooting, which took place blocks away from the IGA where a man was shot dead last week.

No suspects or victims were found when police arrived at a Tim Hortons parking lot around 3:45 a.m. Wednesday after receiving calls from people saying they heard shots fired.

Staff at a gas station across the street told police two vehicles had been chasing each other through the pumps before driving across the street to the Tim Hortons, CBC News Online reports.

RCMP Const. Holly Marks said police found a shot-up pickup truck, adding it didn’t appear anyone inside had been hit.

“Police have made inquiries with local area hospitals to ascertain if anyone with injuries consistent with gunfire has been treated, however, they have met with negative results,” Marks said.

Investigators are looking at surveillance video of the parking lot taken from nearby businesses.
