Bullock could make history with Razzie, Oscar wins

While Hollywood’s elite will be celebrating the best of 2009 Sunday evening, the night before will see a celebration of a different nature when the 30th annual Golden Razzies Awards are announced a few miles further down Hollywood Boulevard.

The Razzies, the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation’s annual salute to the very worst in film, has acted as a kind of snarky younger sibling to the Oscars since it started humbly in 1980, growing into what E! News has called “the foremost authority on all things that suck on the big screen.”

The two films leading this year’s pack, with seven nominations each, are Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Land of the Lost.

Worst Actress nominee Sandra Bullock (for All About Steve) could make history by being the first actress to win a Razzie one day and an Oscar the next, since she’s also up for Best Actress at the Academy Awards for The Blind Side. Surprisingly, Bullock has said she’ll be there. “I’m showing up if I win,” she told Entertainment Weekly.
