The hotline was established in 1999 as a resource for kids, parents and teachers faced with bullying issues. A HRP school response officer answers it 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
“The bully hotline is used countless times throughout the year and has received thousands of calls over the last decade,” HRM’s Public Safety Officer Supt. Don Spicer said in a release.
“We are pleased to mark the 10th anniversary by adding features that make the bully hotline more accessible, particularly to our youth.”
