David Byrne will join indie rockers including Feist, Sufjan Stevens and the Decemberists on the new Red Hot charity album for AIDS research.
The former Talking Heads front man will collaborate on two tracks with the Dirty Projectors, a combo headed by prolific singer/songwriter Dave Longstreth.
The Red Hot organization has released more than a dozen compilations since 1990 to benefit AIDS research and causes, with Byrne appearing on several over the years.
Grammy-nominated Canadian singer Feist joined forces for the project with Ben Gibbard, lead singer of current U.S. album chart champion Death Cab For Cutie.
