Calgary Economic Development’s (CED) Home Base report shows Calgary is still the place to be for western headquarters.
Tim Hearn, former president and CEO of Imperial Oil, said things like reduced cost and better taxes environment were also significant considerations.
The primary issue for his company was moving 450 families.
Rob Richie, former president and chief executive officer of Canadian Pacific railway said Canadian Pacific, reflects the Canadian economy.
“Calgary is a lucky city, but you’ve worked very, very hard to be so lucky,” he said.
