Officials are investigating a suspicious death in the city’s southwest Tuesday night.
Police were called to a home in the 100 block of Somerset Dr. SW around 3 p.m. Tuesday and found a deceased person they removed from the home.
While police haven’t released many details, neighbours say a man has lived in the home for about nine years and had a male roommate.
“We didn’t think anything of it but the other neighbours and I heard what sounded like gunshots Sunday, but we didn’t really think anything of it until now,” Joan said, withholding her last name.
Piotr Pawlaczyk lives next door to where the person was found dead and said there were two men who lived there.
“They never talked to anyone, we barely ever saw them. They would say “hi”, that’s it, but all the other neighbours talk to each other.”
The homicide unit is investigating and an autopsy will be completed on Wednesday, according to police.
