Blake Nill said he “crossed the coach-parent threshold” with son Taylor during Saturday’s Uteck Bowl.
The Calgary Dinos head coach, who won two Vanier Cups at Saint Mary’s before resigning in 2006, was involved in a heated exchange with Taylor, a Dinos receiver who was once a water boy for the Huskies, on national television.
Blake was unhappy with Taylor’s celebration after a touchdown.
“I was upset,” Nill was quoted in the Calgary Herald. “I screamed at him and it was an over-reaction on my part. I think I crossed the coach-parent threshold. I regret it.”
