Police said Thursday they made six criminal arrests, include one for a warrant, three in relation to drugs and two for breach of conditions. They also made 16 non-criminal arrests.
“The numbers are lower this year,” said Const. J.P. Vincelette. “There were no serious incidents. When you consider that there were over 300,000 people in the downtown core of Ottawa, that’s fairly impressive.”
From the hours of 6 a.m. to midnight, the Ottawa Paramedic Service responded to a total of 91 medical emergencies downtown, said Ottawa paramedic spokesman J.P. Trottier.
