Canadian dollar closed at 99.02 cents US

TORONTO – The Canadian dollar closed at 99.02 cents US on Tuesday, down 0.25 of a cent from Monday’s close.

The U.S. dollar stood at 100.99 cents Cdn, up 0.25 of a cent.

Pound sterling closed at C$1.5772, up 0.85 of a cent, and US$1.5617, up 0.45 of a cent.

The Euro was worth C$1.3154, up 0.25 of a cent.
