Canadian dollar closed at 99.72 cents US

TORONTO – The Canadian dollar closed at 99.72 cents US on Monday, down 0.21 of a cent from Friday’s close.

The U.S. dollar stood at 100.28 cents Cdn, up 0.21 of a cent.

Pound sterling closed at C$1.5745, up 0.04 of a cent, and US$1.5701, down 0.29 of a cent.

The Euro was worth C$1.3168, down 0.84 of a cent.
