Two Canadian companies said yesterday their Honduran operations werenot affected by the military coup in the country this weekend.

Two Canadian companies said yesterday their Honduran operations were not affected by the military coup in the country this weekend.

Toronto-based miner Breakwater Resources Ltd. said there has been no disruption to operations at its Mochito zinc, lead and silver mine and all production and shipping schedules are intact.

Gildan Activewear Inc. also confirmed its facilities in Honduras will operate as normal. The Montreal-based clothing manufacturer said its sock manufacturing facilities are running at full capacity, while its textile and sewing facilities are taking two weeks of scheduled downtime.
