Michael Jackson has delayed his comeback tour, femalefirst.co.uk reports. The singer will now kick off his London residency on July 13.

Shows scheduled to take place on July 10, 12 and 14 have been postponed to 2010.

It has been reported the 50-year-old star was to have surgery for alleged skin cancer yesterday, in which doctors were to remove cancerous flesh on his chest and nose, possibly followed up by radiation, the Britain’s The Sun reports.

Randy Phillips, president of tour promoter AEG Live, dismissed the rumour, blaming the delay on the “massive and technically complex show.”

He said: “Michael is not sleeping with elephants and not suffering skin cancer. He’s a magnet for weird stories but he’s in great shape. I’d trade my body for his tomorrow.

“This show has grown in size and scope, thereby necessitating more lead time.”
