The official Twitter pages for the Chicago Blackhawks and Vancouver Canucks — @NHLBlackhawks and @VanCanucks, respectively — are putting their avatars on the line.

The team that loses the series has to replace its Twitter photo with one of the winning team’s choosing for a week. Vancouver is up 1-0 in the best-of-seven series.

Chicago has narrowed its choice to a photo of Patrick Kane celebrating a hat trick or of Luongo wearing Blackhawks feathers.

Here’s what some Blackhawks fans are saying about the Canucks online:

@dansoles: At Wrigley today. Guy walking down the aisles with a Canuck sweater. Boos are loud and the upper deck is now chanting, “Let’s go blackhawks!” — from Twitter

Chris Gaal: The Chicago Blackhawks got smoked yesterday by a bunch of tree hugging Canadians. Tonight when a Canadian comes into the store to make a purchase, I am adding a 20% tax for being a CANADIAN. — from the Blackhawks’ Facebook fan page

Here’s what some Canucks fans are saying about the Blackhawks online:

@vclark_wiki: saw the Canucks at the video store this weekend, they were renting Blackhawk Down ...Go Canucks Go!!!! — from Twitter

@JBIEBERCITY: The CANUCKS OWNED Chicago. Yup, it’s our year :)

Bad luck
The Fratellis — the Scottish band that wrote the Blackhawks’ goal song — reportedly broke up on the weekend.
