Captain of sunken boat will return

The captain in charge of the Queen of the North when it sank three years ago will return to sail the same route.

WorkSafeBC, the provincial health and safety agency, has ordered B.C. Ferries that the captain must be reinstated, CBC News Online reports.

According to B.C. Ferries, privacy matters stop them from releasing details, but the decision made by WorkSafeBC will be complied with.

Capt. Colin Henthorne was off duty and asleep when the ferry failed to make a critical turn and hit Gil Island, rupturing the hull, according to a B.C. Ferries report on the sinking. Two people are still missing and presumed dead.
