Caribana Lime moving to Ontario Place

The annual Caribana Lime festival has been moved to Ontario Place thisSunday from its traditional spot on Toronto Island. Organizers hadhoped the city strike would be resolved before the event had to bemoved due to the docked ferries, but went ahead with their plan to movethe venue to Ontario Place when the strike wore on, said Stephen Weir,a spokesperson for Caribana.

The island may be deserted, but the Caribana Lime will go on.

Organizers had hoped the city strike would be resolved before the event had to be moved due to the docked ferries, but went ahead with their plan to move the venue to Ontario Place when the strike wore on, said Stephen Weir, a spokesperson for Caribana.

Even though a tentative agreement has been reached in the strike, the Lime will still be held at Ontario Place. The theme park has lowered the cost of general admission for the day to $14. An upgrade to use the rides will cost extra, said Terry Caddo, director of communications at Ontario Place.
