Re: "Pregnancy requires stamina," Mar. 14.
Thank you for the column, Lisi. I found it interesting and very close to me.
A few months ago, my husband and I decided that we were ready to have a baby. My sister in law (who already has two kids) suggested that I take a pill of folic acid a day and explained the benefits of it.
Even if I am not pregnant yet, taking that pill every day makes me feel close to a baby that’s not here yet. It makes me feel like I am already taking care of someone who eventually will be in my arms.
I am amazed what a would-be mother does for herself and her baby, even before conceiving it. These are beautiful feelings and emotions that one day I hope to share with my little one.
Caring starts before baby’s conception
