Carleton breaks ground on Canal Building

Carleton University held the official groundbreaking for its new Canal Building on campus Thursday. Construction on the Canal and River Buildings is getting underway with the help of $52.5 million in federal and provincial government funding announced last week.

The Canal site will house new programs in biomedical, energy, environmental and aerospace engineering, while the River Building will be home to the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, the School of Journalism and Communication, and the School of Public Policy.
