The Shawinigan Cataractes have forced a Game 7 in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League final.
Nicholas Peterson scored his 10th goal of the post-season with 41 seconds remaining in the first overtime as the host Cataractes earned a 2-1 victory over the Drummondville Voltigeurs last night with the President Cup on the line.
The Cataractes have now recovered from a 3-1 series deficit and it all comes down to Tuesday’s 8:30 p.m. matchup at Marcel Dionne Centre. Neither team has won a Q title.
Yannick Riendeau was the only Drummondville player to find the scoresheet, giving him 27 goals in the post-season. He tied a Q record with his 16th power-play goal.
