Former NHL tough guy. current CBC hockey commentator and future Battle of the Blades contestant P.J. Stock spoke to Metro about the idea of a hockey musical.
"Montreal to Pembroke to Victoriaville to Antigonish to Hartford to New York back to Montreal to Philadelphia to Boston. My hockey life has given me the opportunity see some of North America’s biggest cities and some of its smallest. There have been three constants on my travels… my equipment, my small bladder (which is a story for another day) and my Walkman (which eventually became an MP3 player).
As long as I can remember, almost every memory that hasn’t been knocked out of my head by Rob Ray involves music and hockey somehow. Hockey has its a arenas. Music has their stadiums. It’s about time this marriage shares a common same stage."
