Cdn dollar opened at 99.87 cents US, up 0.22

TORONTO – The Canadian dollar opened at 99.87 cents US, up 0.22 of a cent from Wednesday’s close.

The U.S. dollar stood at 100.13 cents Cdn, down 0.22 of a cent.

Pound sterling was worth C$1.5669, down 0.24 of a cent and US$1.5679, up 0.11 of a cent.

The euro was worth C$1.3165, up 0.07 of a cent.
