CFL Picks — Week 10

The Eskimos won a game last week, but I still think something's missing with this team, and it might just be some decent coaching.

FRIDAY, AUG. 18:

Edmonton at B.C.

ODDSMAKERS' LINE:B.C. is favoured by3.5 points.

MARTY SAYS: The Eskimos won a game last week, but I still think something's missing with this team, and it might just be some decent coaching. The opposite is true with B.C., where Wally Buono has a firm handle on things. Backup Buck Pierce probably will start again instead of the injured Dave Dickenson (ankle), but it won't matter.

MARTY'S PICK: TAKEB.C. MINUS THE 3.5 POINTS.

SATURDAY, AUG. 19:

Montreal at Toronto

ODDSMAKERS' LINE: Montreal is favoured by6.5 points

MARTY SAYS: TheAlouetteslost their first game of the season on a last-play field goal last week in Calgary. They'll be fired up to bounce back on a positive note this week and, against the mediocre Argonauts, they shouldn't have much problem.

MARTY'S PICK: TAKEMONTREAL MINUS THE 6.5POINTS.

SATURDAY, AUG. 19:

Hamilton at Saskatchewan

ODDSMAKERS' LINE:Saskatchewan is favoured by 7.5 points.

MARTY SAYS: Yes, the Tiger-Cats are hopeless and thoroughly terrible. And they won't even have their leading tackler, Tay Cody (separated shoulder). But Saskatchewan isn't all that impressive, either. And I don't think there's any way the not-so-Roughriders should be favoured by so many points.

MARTY'S PICK: TAKEHAMILTON PLUS THE 7.5POINTS.

RESULTS OF WEEK 9:

B.C. 32, Winnipeg 5

Edmonton 24, Saskatchewan 18

Toronto 20, Hamilton 2

Calgary 27, Montreal 24

Marty's record vs. the point spread last week: 3-1-0

Marty's record vs. the point spread in 2006: 17-13-1
