Halifax Regional Police are considering whether to lay charges after an 18-year-old male suffered serious head injuries after getting into a consensual fight with another man in Halifax on Wednesday night.
Police say at 7:30 p.m., they were called to the 1100 block of Tower Road and upon arrival found the 18-year-old bleeding from the head.
He was taken to the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax and as of yesterday remained in hospital with serious, but not life threatening injuries.
Police say the victim told them he engaged in a consensual fight with a person he knows and was subsequently injured.
Police spokesman Const. Brian Palmeter said officers have spoken once with the victim, but will do so again to determine whether charges will be laid.
