Two residents of a First Nation are facing charges after police seized a cache of firearms at a home on the reserve.

Forty-eight-year-old Alexander Peter McDonald and 44-year-old Donna Marie Stephen of Millbrook First Nation face multiple charges following a search of their home.

The 45 charges include counts of illegal possession of firearms and improper storage of firearms, and one charge of possession of stolen property.

There is also a charge of possession of a prohibited type of firearm cartridge.

RCMP say they found 18 firearms, including a prohibited handgun, two restricted handguns and 15 rifles at a Millbrook residence on Sept. 2.
