Charity calls on Dr. Hauschka

Charity Shea, actor, plays Samantha Best on The Best Years, airing Tuesday nights on Global:

Q: What products that you use make you look and feel good?

A: I use Dr. Hauschka facial toner, toned day cream and Neem oil.

Q: Describe your style?

A: I dress according to my mood and event —sometimes edgy, sometimes preppie, sometimes girl next door.

Q: How do you keep life in perspective?

A: By focusing on the bigger picture and the end result and by not identifying myself with my career. I believe that you have to have a life separate from what you think you are.

Q: How do you stay fit?

A: The Educo Gym, a revolutionary new technology on how to train your entire body, 20 minutes per session, three times a week. I have better results then anything else I’ve tried.

Q: What are your healthy eating habits?

A: I look to Mother Nature and stick with the foods that mankind has been eating for thousands of years. I stick with proteins along with natural fats like raw red skin peanuts, steamed veggies and fruit. For dessert, I treat myself to strawberries and heavy whipping cream or organic unsweetened cinnamon applesauce.

Daryn Jones, host of MTV Live, airing evenings Monday through Friday:

Q:What products that you use make you look and feel good?

A: I’m pretty basic. Deodorant is a must! I shave most days with whatever is on sale. I’m a big fan of Life Brand at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Q: Describe your style?

A: I tend to find a pair of jeans that fit well and then I wear them until they fall apart. I am currently wearing out a pair of jeans from Club Monaco. I use the same strategy for shoes. I’ve been wearing a pair of black Chucks (Converse) for the last three months.

Q: How do you keep life in perspective?

A: I just read the front page of any newspaper and my personal problems seem really insignificant, really quickly.

Q: How do you stay fit?

A: I stay fit by telling everyone I go to the gym four times a week and then actually go twice a week. When the weather got nicer this spring I talked about running outside a lot. Lying to yourself really burns calories.

Q: What are your healthy eating habits?

A: Breakfast consists of yogurt and a banana and 8,000 cups of coffee. I try to get the healthiest thing at the food court for lunch.

For dinner I eat fish and plenty of veggies. And please print that I eat a salad a day. My mother will be so proud.
