Don’t worry about Two and a Half Men being a full man short going into its new season — Charlie Sheen will be back on the set of the hit CBS show on Jan. 4 as if his holiday domestic-abuse arrest didn’t happen, people.com reports a source as saying.

“We’ll assume that Charlie Sheen will definitely be there,” a source close to production tells People. “We don’t expect this to (affect the show).”

Sheen, 44, allegedly pulled a knife and threatened wife Brooke Mueller, 32, during an alcohol-fuelled fight that broke out during Christmas dinner. He was arrested and booked for second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief in Aspen, Colo., and faces the possible end of his marriage.

Sheen, who denies pulling a knife on his wife, was released the night of his arrest on $8,500 US bond, and is due in court on Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. in Colorado. He returned to Los Angeles, where his TV show is filmed, while Mueller remained in Aspen with the couple’s two nine-month-old sons.

Sheen hasn’t yet been formally charged by prosecutors, but if they do go ahead, the production team of Two and a Half Men is ready, the source says.

“If he has to go to court on the 8th, it’s only one day, and we can work around it,” the source says.
