Heavyweight Mike Russow's shock upset of Todd Duffee at UFC 114 came at a cost — the Chicago police officer sustained a broken forearm in the victory.

In issuing its report on Saturday's mixed martial arts show in Las Vegas, the Nevada State Athletic Commission suspended Russow for six months on medical grounds unless he receives earlier clearance from a doctor for a broken left ulna/forearm.

Russow, who was listed as a near 3-1 underdog, absorbed more than two rounds of punishment from the highly touted Duffee before flooring his younger opponent midway through the third.

Russow augmented his purse of US$24,000, which included a $12,000 win bonus, with $65,000 for knockout of the night.

Other fighters facing six-month medical suspensions pending clearance from a doctor are Amir Sadollah (right hand and ankle), Waylon Lowe (chest X-ray required) and Brazilian Luiz Cane (nose).

According to purse information released by the Nevada commission, light-heavyweight Rashad Evans collected $410,000 (including a $185,000 win bonus) for his main event victory over Quinton (Rampage) Jackson ($250,000).

The commission figures do not tell the whole tale, however, since the UFC does not reveal other bonuses and main event fighters can get a piece of the lucrative pay-per-view take.

England's Michael (The Count) Bisping had a good night, earning $325,000 (including a $150,000 win bonus) for his co-main event decision over middleweight Dan Miller ($15,000).

Light-heavyweights Antonio Rogerio Nogueira of Brazil and Jason Brilz each picked up a $65,000 bonus for fight of the night in a decision that was controversially awarded to Nogueira. That brought their winnings to $185,000 (including a $40,000 win bonus) for Nogueira and $76,000 for Brilz.

Thanks to a $65,000 submission of the night bonus, Ryan Jensen made $81,000 for beating Jesse Forbes ($6,000).

Finally, welterweight Diego Sanchez picked up $50,000 in a losing cause against England's John Hathaway ($22,000).
