RCMP have arrested and charged a 47-year-old man with drug possession and child pornography charges after a search in his Airdrie home.
Authorities went to the home of Roy Rodney Knapp, of Airdrie, on Friday afternoon to assist with a child endangerment investigation.
A search of the home turned up 52 marijuana plants and 545 grams of marijuana valued up to $5,450. Investigators also stated they found child pornography on a computer found inside the home.
According to the RCMP, Knapp previously had a license that permitted him to grow up to 35 marijuana plants, but the license expired Thursday.
Knapp has being charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, resisting arrest and possession of child pornography. He will appear in court Feb. 19 to face the charges.
