A third annual run held Saturday will help grant 10 wishes for kids with life-threatening medical conditions through Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario.
Through the Share the Power of a Wish event, participants can walk or run a 1-km, 5-km or 10-km route along Queen Elizabeth Drive.
Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario got started with a child’s wish for a trip to a Walt Disney World Resort in 1997. A group of volunteers got together to grant her wish.
“Here is an excellent opportunity for us to make a difference in the life of a local child facing a life-threatening medical condition,” said event steward Dr. Kirsty Duncan.
The event begins at city hall at 9 a.m.
