Choice of Olympic hockey tickets remaining limited

Those looking to score Olympic tickets can still get their mitts on passes to see men’s and women’s hockey preliminaries featuring medal longshots Belarus and Slovakia. If that’s not your thing, you might just be out of luck.

The third and final phase of ticket sales for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games opened Saturday at 10 a.m. More than 100,000 tickets — including ones to the men’s hockey gold medal game — were available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

VANOC said operations ran smoothly despite high traffic levels. Organizers had delayed the sale until Saturday because of a massive computer glitch the week before.
