A world-renowned author and spiritual leader is lending his name to an addictions-treatment facility in Squamish on Friday.
It’ll be known as Canada’s first Deepak Chopra Centre and located on a 10-acre property on the banks of the Cheakamus River at the Paradise Valley Wellness Centre.
Chopra, who began his career as a medical doctor, is the author of more than 55 books on spirituality and mind-body medicine.
The New Delhi-born Chopra was once named one of the Top 10 motivational speakers in the United States by Esquire Magazine. He will not be in Squamish for Friday’s announcement.
