City lunch, beach house dinner

A new community on Vancouver Island is offering resort-style living a short ferry ride away from Vancouver.

Qualicum Landing, a $35-million project, is offering price reductions averaging $150,000 to $250,000 — with single standing luxury beach homes being sold for as low as $399,000.

“This price point will provide an unprecedented real estate opportunity for those who are interested in owning waterfront property at a great value,” said David Steele, managing partner of Qualicum Landing.

Anna DiFiore, sales and marketing director of Qualicum Landing, said the development’s location, just 10 minutes outside of Qualicum Beach, is ideal.

“Residents can have lunch in their downtown Vancouver office and dinner at their beach house — it’s the lifestyle that we’re most proud to offer,” she said.

The luxury community includes amenities such as an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, an owner’s lounge, two hot tubs, a sport court and a fire pit. Residents will also have access to five golf courses all within 20 minutes from Qualicum Landing. In addition, some of the best fishing on Vancouver Island is right on the resort property’s doorstep in Fletcher Creek.

Each home has been carefully designed to maximize the living space and features high-end finishings throughout. The architecture, led by Vancouver Island-based designer John Larsen of CA Design, is meant to integrate the homes with their environment. All design elements have been thoughtfully considered to conserve energy and use environmentally friendly products and finishes.
