Toronto’s budget chief says cuts are being considered and a city union says it knows where some of them will be.

Anne Dembinski, head of CUPE local 79, said the bad news came during a meeting Friday.
Dembinski said the city is proposing that a handful of its ski hills and campgrounds be leased out, or sold.

She added up to 360 part-time positions could be cut.

City budget chief Shelley Carroll isn’t denying there will be cuts, but wouldn’t say for sure yesterday if they would be on the slopes.

Carroll said a number of proposals in the proposed city budget include staff reductions.

The ski hills at risk include Earl Bales Park and Centennial Park, and also under consideration is the Glen Rouge campground.
