If you thought driving the Fairview Overpass was already a headache because of ongoing construction, things will get even worse this weekend.
The Halifax Regional Municipality’s Traffic Services announced Thursday that because of the province’s six-month construction project at the location, the Joseph Howe Drive ramp under the Fairview Overpass will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday to Monday at 5 a.m.
The closure will affect Joseph Howe Drive to the Bedford Highway outbound and the Bedford Highway outbound ramp to Joseph Howe Drive.
Motorists are being asked to find alternate routes while the work takes place.
Work on the overpass began last month. The province is demolishing and rebuilding the south side of the overpass with a price tag of $5 million.
