About 300 unionized janitors and cleaners have walked off the job at Pearson International Airport’s Terminal 1.
They walked out Friday after rejecting a contract offer from a private company that manages the airport’s cleaning services.
The Greater Toronto Airports Authority says the work stoppage is not affecting flights out of Pearson, and all washrooms and food service areas remain open.
Management has stepped in to run the services.
Meanwhile, 100 workers at Terminal 3 are still voting on the offer.
